  Objectives: Review modes of transmission (including healthcare worked to patient and patient to healthcare worker).  Discuss infection control procedures (including universal precautions).  Review clinical management and prevention.  Discuss epidemiology of the disease and related infections including TB.  Cite current Florida law on AIDS and its impact on testing, confidentiality of test results and treatment of patients.  Review protocols and procedures applicable to human immunodeficiency virus counseling and testing, reporting, the offering of HIV testing to pregnant women, and partner notification issues pursuant to ss. 381.004 and 384.25.
